The pieces on paper are just 2″ x 2″ and despite their size they have a lot to say. Mini deep canvases capture ocean energy in 10cm pieces and make great shelf sitters. Each combines loose layers with tiny details and excerpts from my beach journals are stamped into the designs.

If you love to visit the sea, knowing the tide times can be essential for low tide paddles, bird watching or high tide storms. Tide clocks are hand-painted with acrylics onto laser cut MDF bases and varnished for protection. Each clock is reversible with a darker and a lighter side which can be easily switched. The mechanism runs on a 12 hour 25 minute cycle in line with the lunar cycle and shows approximate hours until the next tide turn.

These deep blue paintings are part of a series inspired by the local coastline. These paintings are awash with turquoise shades and deep indigo with some gorgeous details hidden in the layers. From tranquil tides and dark skies these paintings bring the feeling of space at the edge of the land and the sound of the waves on the beaches.

The warm palette of Indian yellow, orange and violet adds a lovely glow to these acrylic paintings inspired by warm coastal breezes. There’s a touch of the summer breeze over city rooftops in these mini abstracts. They layer loose washes of transparent glazes and opaque details for lots of depth.
