Easy Structure paste techniques
I use Easy Structure to introduce a range of texture techniques into my mixed media art. Easy Structure from Powertex is a heavy paste that sets hard and can even hold embellishments and deep textures. With Easy Structure you can make hard wearing layers that don’t peel off and can be given some heavy mixed media treatment.
In this quick demo I use Easy Structure with Powercolor powder pigments, small 3d texture balls and palette knives.
This is just a glimpse of some of the ways I use Easy Structure paste although almost all of my textured art has it. I love to layer up different colours and marks with different tools to create an organic surface.
I recommend experimenting with different ways to apply the paste including palette knives, clay shaping tools and plastic items. Try them wet or dry for different effects. Mixing in different textures from sand to fibres has lots of possibilities.
Create some abstract textures or backgrounds with Easy Structure in your Powertex art. If you are new to Powertex take a look at my blogs for beginners to get you started.
I get my supplies from Powertex UK.
