The Brighton Festival starts in May 2024 and that means Artists Open Houses begin too.
During May over 180 homes, studios and venues in Brighton and Hove will be open to the public. Hundreds of artists and makers will be sharing their work and skills. It's a wonderful opportunity to get a peek into homes and studios, meet the artists and pick up some gorgeous art and gifts too.
New tiny art collections
My new collections of tiny art will be on display and available at Bluebell Would in West Hove. Now available in box frames and unframed too. The Breathe collection is the most popular, with lovely reminders to pause. These small abstracts continue with some deep blues and purples this year.
The Affirmations and Intentions series will be available as cute collectibles to keep close by. Pick your favourites or choose your word of the year to keep you coming back to your focus.
New to the collections are the Little Escapes. These tiny abstracts capture shoreline views and magical moments. Spot your favourite local landmarks or choose a seaside scene to wander into when you need a moment to yourself.
These tiny abstracts layer deep colour and tiny details to capture moments from the coastline. They are small reminders to pause and ponder, to breathe and focus and to recall the peace of the seashore. Tiny art has become the core of my art practice and I write more about this here.
Bluebell Would on the West Hove Arts Trail
Bluebell's family home is transformed during open house season while 30 artists show their work, including Bluebell. It's an eclectic mix of original art and prints to jewellery, ceramics, glasswork and gifts. There's something for everyone to enjoy in this welcoming, inclusive venue.
You can follow Bluebell Roebuck on Instagram where she is showcasing the artists as well as her own stunning beach photography and watercolour paintings.
The West Hove art trail is popular for it's variety of artists and makers (and cats). You will find experienced and new artists with a wide range of styles (and prices).
You can find all the details of Bluebell Would and all the other listings and art trails on the AOH website.
