Bister and crackle

Starting out with Powertex

It’s fun, gorgeous, sticky messy fun. It was fun to wrap bottles and bowls and make little figures. I learned early that while Powertex can be painted with my acrylics, that doesn’t mean it should. I learned that not all fabrics are created equal and headed for the remnant bin and some old t-shirt fabric. I learned that getting my fingers sticky is the best way but wear gloves when using black!

Powertex is so full of potential. It does the work of several mixed media products and more. It’s actually hard to know where to start with so many ideas to try in my head!
